Again my thanks to Dee for her attempt to revive this subforum with the recent name change. The purpose of this thread is to determine what photomanipulation software you use and what you would like to get out of the Digital Darkroom. Do you want:

1. Tutorials? If so then try to be specific about the problem or subject and what software you use.

I'd like some tutorials to explain some of the common edits done on pictures.

2. To post images for other members to work on?

Yep, it's cool to see what different people do to an image. Keeps the ideas fresh.

3. To discuss a technique you are working on? If so, share your steps.

Sure, why not?

Currently I'm using GIMP 2.2, which is pretty good. It lacks a lot of the effects I want for some of the other edits I do, namely a jetwash effect. I guess what I really want to get is Photoshop CS, but I would be more likely to get PSE due to cost.
