How many rules can you think of for diving ...... I'm starting off with 6 basic rules if you think of any more just add them to the list ........ (1) Check gear (2) Find water (3) Jump in (4) Dive down (5) Don't mess with fish that are bigger than you are (6) remember to come up when out of air

My instructor had only two diving rules in OW class

Don't hold your breath and
Don't do anything stupid....

How about "Don't dive with strokes"?

Just kidding! Yesterday I cain't spel strocke, today I is one!

One suggested modification to scubapro50 rule #6: remember to come up BEFORE you run out of air. :)

Equalize your ears BEFORE you feel pressure.

Take the weight belt with the buckle facing DOWN!

and a personal rule from me: Never take off your fins before your weight belt in a strong current. :D

dont descend without your reg in your mouth, tried that one today while assisting with a discover scuba dive, didnt get very far lol

LOL. There are many a lot smaller that pack a far bigger punch than you do! :D

Zip your dry suit before entering water.

Complacency kills.

Don't get bent
Back on the boat with air still in your tank
