This pasted weekend I went down to San Carlos Mexico with Desert Divers, from Tucson. We meet up at the shop early Friday morning, carpooling the route. The drive down to San Carlos was uneventful. The caravan arrived at about 1230, just in time for lunch. At 1400 the party started, we went abroad the Ocean Spirit. The first dive site was Deer Island about a 30 minute ride out; all certified dives had 1hour to be back on the boat. The visibility was great, about 60 feet with a water temperature of 86F. After roll call there was a short 10 minute trip to Martini Cove and again the boat crew put us in a great site. There was a ton of sea life and the pool was open for a little over an hour. We made it back to the dock at about 1800, that night most of the divers meet up for dinner at a local restaurant. The next day started early, all divers where at the boat at 0700, we took an hour and a half ride to Isla San Pedro. We arrived at North Point and the visibility was even better than the dives before, anywhere 80 to 100 feet. There was so much sea life at North Point that we stayed for a second dive. We were back at the dock at 1300. That night all the staff and divers went out to dinner and had a great time. The next day we went to the north side of the island and were greeted by about 10 sea lions. Visibility was just as great as the day before with the addition of the sea lions wanting to play with all the divers. On the ride back to the dock the boat was one big floating club and everyone was having a great time. We made it back to the dock at about 1230. I made it back to Tucson at about 2200. The Dive staff and the boat crew in Mexico were great. Can’t wait for the Labor day trip back down to San Carlos .
