I am visiting So CAl last week of October and looking to do dives Oct 24 and 25.

thinking about San Diego on the 24th and Catalina on the 25th
Looking for recommendations for good dive shops or scuba operators in San Diego.

I am PADI advanced (recently) with about 30 dives total experience.

Welcome to SoCal, Too far away to know my plans but here is a link to California boats
California Dive Boats : The Official Page
In the SanDiego area my top two are Marrisa and LoisAnn and you will find many here agree.
Next is San Diego Dive Boat,San Diego Charter Boat,San Diego California,San Diego Dive Charters,San Diego Boat Dives,San Diego SCUBA Diving,SCUBA Diving San Diego California,SCUBA CA,Boat Trips San Diego,SCUBA Charters San Diego CA,SCUBA Charters and the D'n'D group.
Check out our "Catalina sticky" more options on Sunday. A nice non-boat option is to dive "Casino Point" in Avalon. Remind us when time gets closer so we may be able to dive with you.

San Diego is also outside of my area of familiarity, but when the time comes closer to your visitation dates, keep us updated and some of us would sure love to accompany you.

You will love Catalina. San Diego diving is very diverse as well. Boats in SD, like the Lois Ann and other's typically dive "Wreck Alley" and sometimes the kelp beds or the Coronados islands. In addition, lots of good shore diving around La Jolla cove as well.

Have fun, dive safe.

Cool! I'll be out next Friday and diving the Yukon and in the kelp on Saturday and Sunday - really looking forward to it.

Nevermind my question... I called Waterhorse and they said they actually get a lot of solo divers. They pair them up based on the diver's experience.
