What are the year round water temps in San Diego area? I'm arguing with my husband over this so I hope you can help me win the bet. Tracy

Hi Tracy,

Right now, the water temps around San Diego are at about 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 deg. Celsius). Summertime temps can get up in the 70 deg F range. The dead of winter (if you can call it that here) can drop down to around 55 deg F.

Let us know who wins the bet.

Cheers,

I lost. Is it really that cold! How about down in the Sea of Cortez? We were thinking about taking a trip down there next winter to dive, fish and see the whales. Any suggestions?
