Bravo !
Well organized and presented
Certainly captures the spirt of Catalina top side and UW.

@jlyle

I note you are/were a member of LA UPS
I was a charter member in 1957 - which also coincides with the song.
"26 miles across the sea" which was popular about the same time.

A few years later I was a Co founder of O CUPS

Diving is a small world..

Yes, I belonged to the LAUPS for several years but dropped out when it got too difficult to attend the meetings - too many people and too many cars. I'm sure we have friends in common.

@jlyle

Were does UPS meet ?
We originally met at LA CC - via Al
Then moved to John Anson Ford Park

O CUPS met in the US Divers Conferences room
Only Club to meet there.

I was recently looking over my copies of the UW photographer Magazine published by Fred Roberts ….So historical !
Sone day I will need to sell them..

LAUPS meets at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum.

Great pics! Catalina is an all time favorite of mine and my family ever since my mom used to dive off the pier in the 1930's for coins the tourists would throw overboard to the kids from the Great White Steamer.
