I'm a Fish!
Just back from diving the Blue Hole and found it a little disturbing . We got to the bottom and could not find one living crawdad.but did find several dead ones. There has always been hundreds of them on the bottom and surely thousands in the entire Blue Hole. I found one on a ledge close to the surface alive and that was it Also the algae had a different look to it ..Then out of the water a few people noticed a sewer smell that I have not noticed before, kinda has me wondering if there is a connection or if the Crawdad die off has another explanation.

I saw one three weeks ago. One, on a 40 minute dive that I spent looking into cracks and crevices with a decent light. It was about palm sized, so not a youngster.

Something is clearly wrong.
