Moved recently to west London. Does anyone dive the St Clair River in Sarnia these days. I've heard of the SUC but their Facebook page is over a year old.

Try speaking to Rob at Cross Current divers. I know he dives the river quite regularly but I'm not sure with all that's going on now.

I’ve never done the dive there but I’m also new to western Ontario so I’d be game to hop in with you if you want to check it out. I’m free most weekends.

A good place to start is just north of the casino there in Sarnia. The eddy is quite large and there is barely any current. But once you're about 100 yards from shore it kicks up quite a bit. Theres a cable tied to a large lifting mechanism 30 yards off shore. The cable is bright green and will lead to a huge steel beam and a large ship cable. That cable takes you out to the tugboat Monarch. But be cautious that you will face the full current of the river once you leave that eddy.

High current, lots of overhead traffic. Good idea to do it with someone who knows the river when doing it for the first time especially if doing the drift.

Thanks for the advice.
