I posted this in the Scubapro forum but am not holding my breath that anyone from the actual company will respond.

I have seen the specs on the newer version but my question is more about parts interchangability and annual kits. I hope someone from Scubapro like Jules will chime in but I am not holding my breath. The smaller 620 has improved ease of breathing but other than a smaller case and lever, are the air barrel and diaphragm the same? In other words, what are the physical differences?

Thanks!

My understanding watching the YouTube video is that the air barrel is not the same. There was a thread discussing this when the S-620 was introduced. My take is that Scubapro does not want to allow customers to upgrade their 600 to a 620.

The improvement of breathing was largely on the exhale part of the breathing process.

Online descriptions say the 620 is slightly smaller and has the same diaphragm
