SDHC Memory card for DX8000G?

Will an SDHC Memory card work in a Sea&Sea DX8000G??

The DX-8000G (Ricoh Gx8) was put onto the market prior to SDHC cards being developed. SDHC are 4GB and up in size. The DX-8000G is compatible with up to a 2GB SD card.

Bummer, thanks. Guess it's another good reason to upgrade to the DX2G

What is inside one of those cards? Me too. So when one of them failed to work I ripped it open (see photos). It's just a series of simms cards. And now we know.

I was also wondering if the DX-1G can take SDHC cards above the 4GB level. At the time the camera was developed I think 4GB was the max.
