Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's flagship the Steve Irwin, will be docked
in New York City from 4/23 to 5/3. Sea Shepherd has just completed another
successful Antarctic Whale Defense Campaign. Now the Steve Irwin will be
preparing to take on the Mediterranean bluefin tuna industry.
Here is your chance to tour the ship and be part of the onshore volunteer team.
Tours will run daily from approximately 10-3 while the ship is in NYC.

What you can do -
Volunteer to staff the literature or merchandise table and sign up new members.

Volunteer to assist the crew members who will be leading tours of the ship and
help keep tours together.

Volunteer to provide the ship security, day and night positions available.

Volunteer to prepare and clean up after tours.

Take a tour of the Steve Irwin and tell your friends.

Help publicize the arrival of the Steve Irwin.

No experience necessary! Crew members will be available to help volunteers
with questions from visitors.
There will be a volunteer meeting/ training a few days before the ship arrives.
If you can volunteer, please send your name, phone #, email and availability to
nyc@seashepherd.org.
Please also contact them if you would like to take a tour of the ship.

Will they be conducting tours of the Ady Gil? Oh, right....

Don't be silly..... you know as well as I do that the Ady Gil is now a "reef site" :rofl3:
