Seen in Cozumel

A non-diving friend sent this to me today from Cozumel in a foot or two of water. About two inches long and he said the white edges were moving and seemed to act like it was suctioned on. Thoughts? I tried some internet searching but am not even sure how to describe it. Make me look smart, Internet!

Oops, I read his message wrong. It was on the rocks at water’s edge. Maybe not marine life after all.

My googling got better in the last 10 minutes. I think it’s a chiton. I’ve never seen anything like that before.

Yes, that's marine life.

That's a Chiton; most likely a Fuzzy Chiton.
