What is the normal water temp and is the rainy season bad at that time of the year?

I was there last Sept. and the water temps were a consistant 83-84º. The rainy season consist of a refreshing afternoon shower every day...maybe. Of course there are exceptions but as a general rule, the rain won't slow up your diving!
