I just got my sp350 and have set it to RAW mode. do any of you also set it to JPEG and if you do which mode. I put it on SQ2 normal. Any other recommendations for other modes would be appreciated

Setting your mode to RAW plus a high compression JPEG (small file size) will eat up a little memory, but permit rapid access to your images for review. RAW capture is somewhat inconvenient due to the slow capture processing time of this camera.

IMO I would use RAW only for especially significant shots or for stationary things like a wreck. A shark or turtle scooting by will give you time for only one really well framed shot before it's gone.

Several others have posted their settings among the SP-350 threads here.
