And a lot of it is filmed in Hawaii.
Of course I will be there in a couple of weeks to do some diving. Maybe I should change channels eh?
 
I'm diving Kona in about 10 days and really hope we see a couple of species of shark. We should be so lucky. No better way to scare off sharks than putting some divers in the water.

Much of Shark Week is in Hawaii because a lot of shark research is coming out of Hawaii. I'm not convinced there are any more sharks here than, say, the Bahamas. Just like the Bahamas, there are hot spots where you will probably see sharks and there are dives where you probably won't see sharks. It all depends on your preference but because these are wild animals, no guarantees either way.
