Hey there

Here’s some pictures I’ve shot with my Olympus XZ-1 at various divesites in the Red Sea around Sharm El-Sheikh.

All pictures are taken with the XZ-1 in a Olympus PT-050 housing with a single Sea & Sea Ys-110a strobe. The pictures are taken in RAW and post processed in Adobe Camera Raw, where I’ve adjusted the white balance and shadow/highlights, and added some clarity/saturation and sharpness.

Comments and tips on how to improve my pictures a very welcome

x2 on what gilligan said....very nice.

Thank you very much.

I've got a wide angle lens om the way. Looking forward to the results.

MadBeaver,
I am thinking about getting this setup, I already have a ys 110a . How do they behave together? Any problems? I'm not too worried with the lack of TTL in manual mode. Is it easy to change shutter speed and aperture in manual on the housing, are there dedicated buttons/dials for these? Which wide angle lens did you go for and did it give any vignetting? Sorry for all the questions
Nice pictures
cheers
Tim

Like this. Moray is nicely lit, composition idea is good but it would have been better if the divers filled more of the background (iMO)

Like this too ...

I would have been tempted to make the shot tighter on the butterfly, it would have made a greater contrast with the soft coral and I don't think you gain much
from the bottom of the image.

Both the napoleons and hawksfish would have been better at a lower angle.

Hope you don't mind my comments :/ but in my defence I know Jack really :)
