Sherwood Genesis BC-Broken tank strap.

So I've had my Genesis for 5 years or so. To my surprise today, the top cam band snapped while packing up and the bottom one is cracked now. And the cam band comes right off with it, whattt? Glad I was done for the day. Is there an easy fix for this? I would hate to have to replace it, it's been great otherwise.

You might be interested in the following thread. The Sherwood Avids have the same issue. It looks like the same design. Not surprising, since Genesis and Sherwood are in the same family. The strap connection is part of my pre- dive check for my Avid.
