Heading down to the Palm Beach Area in 2 weeks.
Yes, we're diving BHB, but we're hoping to get in more diving.
What other shore diving sites are within 1 hour drive of the area?

The sites need to be accessible outside of the high tide schedule as we're dedicating high tide to BHB.
Thanks in advance!

Laudedale by the sea is supposed to be good for shore diving, hope to check it out along with BHB summer 2019 or 2020.

Thanks arew+4! I saw that and we may go check it out. Thanks!

That one was suggested to me by the instructor that I'll be taking AOW with down there later this month. Additionally...Oakland Park.

One of my favorite sites is called the Erojacks. I did a writeup here:

Scuba Shore Diving Site Page for: John U. Lloyd Beach Park of Florida, USA East

Near Dania Beach, though the park is now called "Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park". It's worth the hike across the beach from the parking lot. A lot of fun. You can actually see the line of erosion control "jacks" on google maps:

Not a lot of people dive it. Carry a flag. Watch if waves are high.

Thanks! That one does look interesting. We're use to hiking up here in New England so we won't mind!

Lauderdale by the Sea is very good but the conditions need to be right. Those conditions include a north or west wind otherwise you will have to deal with surf. Can check webcams in area as well as weather info before heading out.

Great thoughts compressor and good to know there are webcams! I do like a sneak peak rather than wasting time driving to be disappointed.
