I have the opportunity to buy a nice set of used standard M/L Force Fins.
I wear a 8.5 shoe. Diving I use a 3mm Henderson bootie with a very thin sole. Wearing the bootiie the fit in the M/L FF is snug, but not uncomfortably tight.
Is this a proper fit, or should I pass them up and wait for Large size? Thanks.

I would say you are right on the edge - and the only way to tell is to dive/swim in them and see if they become uncomfortable.

If it was me, I would get a pair of Large and if they are a little sloppy, get a set of comfort inserts to take up the slack. The large would then probably work with a thicker soled boot if you decided to go to a 5 mm.

I wear a 10.5 boot - I can fit in an XL (snug) but have found I prefer XXL with an insert for light boots but can wear a heavy soled thick boot with no insert.

TN:Thanks for your reply. I think you're right. I'll see if I can locate a pair of Large.
