We've had SLX300 lights for about 5 years and absolutely adore them. When one of them had a battery blow up inside, we decided to replace it with a new SLX800 and upgrade our good SLX300 at the same time.

We just got our upgrade kit and the new light, and holy smokes, what a difference!! The first thing we did was put batteries in both lights to compare the output, and it's amazing how much of a difference it is!! Yeah, I know 800 lumens is almost 3x the original's 300 lumens, but it truely DOES translate to real life.

So if you have one of the older lights, it is well worth the money to upgrade to the 800 lumens! :D :D

Thanks Tim for all of your fabulous customer support. We've been happy customers for 5 years and plan to be happy customers for at least another 5!
