While I've looked at them, have to admit, the last dry snorkel I've actually used had a ping pong ball in an upside down hook at the top LOL. The newer versions look to work MUCH better...
 
If you dive without spitting it out it will suck your tongue down the tube LOL
 
Would keep the water out of your mouth...
 
Looks interesting. Explains the tongue in the tube problem. A little pricey, but not too bad if it works as described. They didn't say if it was flexible or not. If it could be folded up in a pocket....

Not great reviews, they say it’s noisy and gives cottonmouth and is huge
 
The freedivers seem to like the aqualung impulse snorkle if not a simple J snorkle. They also carry them in their hand rather than attach to a mask.
 
That is a good indicator. I sent an email asking about whether it's flexible or not.
