I'm heading to Belize to do some diving next month and bought my very first dive watch/computer. I'll probably do multiple dives per day over the week we are there but might snorkel some of the days rather than dive.

I'm interested to take my new toy snorkeling just to see the stats on depth and time etc. However with taking my computer snorkeling will that mess up the saturation level calculations for dives later that day or cumulated values for the next day.

I know if I put it into "free dive" I think I read it locks you out of regular dive mode for 24 hours maybe?

What are peoples thoughts about this?

You do not want to freedive after scuba diving because you may get the bends. If the wait is more than 6 or 12 hrs, I would not worry about it.
