Well, the first voyage of the Roatan Aggressor is in the books! Got the first Captain's Log today and can't wait for our turn!

Saturday June 3rd
We are happy to be sending our first Captains report from the first week of diving onboard the new Roatan Aggressor. We are all very excited to be back out on the water diving the beautiful sites of the Bay Islands of Honduras. We ventured to the west end and north side of Roatan before heading to the sea mounts and Cayo Cochinos, We enjoyed Utila’s north side and eastern seamounts before heading back to Roatan for our final day of diving. We had a lovely group of divers from the USA and Canada and it was our pleasure to show them the best of the Bay Islands and the comforts of the Roatan Aggressor. Hoping to see you all here in the Bay islands in the near future.
Sunday June 4th
A short journey along the south side towards the calmer waters of the west side.
Eel gardens was our first site. A perfect spot to jump in, check out our gear and get wet. A school of midnight blue parrotfish came by to say hello as well as a free swimming green moray eel and a beautiful curious eagle ray. A short cruise over to Black Rock put us on our afternoon and night dive site. Groupers, another spotted eel, turtles and more turtles and plenty of nocturnal critters on our night dive including the ever exciting octopus. All in all a great first day of diving.
Monday June 5th
An early morning pre-breakfast cruise put us on the wreck of the Anguilla… a ft wreck that was sunk years ago to provide a feeding hole for the local grouper population. It was a fun dive to check out the inside and the surounding reef with several giant groupers keeping an eye on us. We continued up the reef to Dolphins Caves. This is no doubt one of the best dives in the Bay Islands. A shallow reef with several cuts, caves and chutes leading into the deeper water. Silversides were in abundance with jacks, tarpon and snappers enjoying a feast. A long nosed golden seahorse was spotted as well as a dwaf frog fish. Two dives were enjoyed before we headed into the calmer waters of the bay for another great night dive with squids, crabs, lobsters and another octopus.
Tuesday June 6th
We arrived at the Coyos seamounts just in time to enjoy our breakfast. These two pinnicals come up from the depths to within 35ft from the surface and is a Motel 6 for pelagic critters and beautiful coral life. Everyone enjoyed 2 drift dives here before moving into the amazing bay oat Coyos Cochinos. Toon Town was our afternoon site. This is where the Bay Islands became known to be the Macro Capital of the Caribbean.

Wednesday June 7th
We headed west to the Seamounts of Utila. Black Hills provided plenty of critters, a school of horse eye jacks, black grouper, green eel, a lobster out and about and a beautiful wall. Wetook the rest of the morning off and went looking for whale-sharks (no luck) and enjoyed our cheeseburgers in paradise on the upper deck on the south side of Utila looking out at Pumpkin Hill. Jack Neills was our afternoon spot. A lovely shallow reef made for some good bottom times and plenty of reef critters including spotted toadfish. Our Ironman diver candidates were ready for their night dive once again off they went for their 4 night dive of the week. Go Ironmen! and Iron women.
Thursday June 8th
Back to the south side of Roatan for our early morning shark dive at Cara Cara and we were barely into the water before 3 giant nurse sharks came in to see what goodies we had brought for them. They stayed with us the whole dive as did a giant black grouper and all his groupies. Mary’s place was next another incredible shallow healthy reef and sheer wall. Long know to be one of Roatans best. Mr Buds was our late afternoon and night dive a fun dive on a fun wreck and the night dive was spectacular with a feeding moray, rainbow squid, channel crabs, lobsters, Giant sleeping cowfish, Slender Caribbean sea spider, Skelaton shrimp, boloon flatworm and the elusive octopus! what a great way to end a great day of diving.
Friday June 9th
Sadley Friday as come oh too soon 2 dives left this morning before we have to head back to our dock in French Harbor , Its time to wash down our gear, pack our bags and enjoy a drink or two at the captains farewell party and a 5 star dinner a Romao’s restaurant on our dock.
Saturday June 10th
Always a sad day to see our friends and family depart, however there was plenty of happy faces and tears in our eyes knowing that we will dive together again soon onboard the Roatan Aggressor.

On Belize III we had Captain Chris. He and his crew were fantastic. What a great group of people.
@CajunDiva, Im sure Ill keep reading the logs too! We were talking about making a return trip to Belize next year but may have to get a trip booked on the Roatan Aggressor too!
