Exploring caves is a dream, a passion and a privilege!
Privileges go along with duties. As cave divers and cave explorers we have the duty to make people understand how important underwater caves protection is for the future of the most important resource on our planet: fresh water.
The #SOMOSLOSCENOTES (we are the cenotes) movement was born from the need to make both divers and non divers aware of how fragile and important are the Mexican caves. They are right now facing destruction, pollution and some insane urban development projects for the only purpose of making short term money, with no vision to the future.
The problem, however, is the same for any underwater cave in the world and we hope that the beauty of the Mexican caves can help raising a worldwide awareness of what lays underneath, and how to protect it.
