I much prefer diving the South Andaman to the North. Several months ago I booked a liveaboard for the South Andaman to being next week.

Now the operator informs us that they want to switch the trip from South to North because conditions are so much better. Now I have to decide if I should:
  • Bail (money back)
  • Try to get them to change their minds
  • Go with the flow
Are current South Andaman conditions so bad as to warrant changing the itinerary?

No, no reason at all to change. They probably have more customers wanting to go North.

That's what I figured. Not the first time this has happened.

You could try option 2, but I would not have high hopes.
1 and 3 seem more likely. I just returned from Similans etc., was really nice.

Well, that's encouraging. How were the crowds? That's one reason why I prefer the South.

Not really busy, perfectly ok. Richelieu 5 boats, managed to avoid eachother.

In their defense, the green peasoup cleared a few days later at Hin Daeng etc. than it did at Similans.
