This Feb we went to the Maldives, the Addu atol which is south of the equator.
Just nine divers on the ship. It was very good diving. Relaxed crew, good food.
The only nasty bit is that the plane from Abu Dhabi arrived at 10 am and the local plane flew on at 8 pm so that was a lost day.

Lucky bugger, you got the double whammy with Manta's and Whale Shark

Awesome, I will never forget my very first dive in the Maldives, was still in awe about the clarity of the water and descended to about 20m when an eagle ray came swimming out of the deep blue below directly at me as if to come and say hi and welcome. Came right up to me and swam a half circle round and dived back down.
Stunning place to dive.

And the sharks, not in the movie. But we did a dive at one of the channels and about 100 sharks came swimming by. Black tips, White tips and Tigers. Then they turned around and did it again. Sadly the camera had an issue during that dive. I had forgotten to attach the cable between the battery pack and the housing.
