Yea Pug, I do. I thought of that too. What stopped me is that the "slap straps" ar nylon covered neoprene and I figure it'll turn into a mess of loose threads.....

It may well come to that though....

You can always try a product from the sewing department call no fray --- or crazy glue if you're really worried.
 
It looks like I'll be performing surgery on a slap strap. I can't believe this product no longer exists but I've searched everywhere :(((

It was there in the drawer all the time Tom...
Fold your strap over in half...
Take the sissors out of the drawer...
Cut either a slot or a wedge shape out of the back of the strap...

I would suggest the wedge but as expensive as these straps are you might want to start with a simple straight cut and work up your courage before performing a full wedge cut... :D
