I'm in the market for a camera that can pull double duty. I would like one that I can mount in my 18 wheeler for a dash cam, and one that I can use to dive with. Intova would seal the deal with a loop recording option like gopro has. Any chance this might be in the works for a firmware update.

Hi TNRonin,
Sorry, it is a quite simple feature but we deliberately do not provide loop recording. HD files are quite large and can fill a memory card quickly. Allowing looping can lead to customers accidentally erasing footage. While this is a great feature for low resolution security cameras, we did not feel it was appropriate for Sport HD.
Best regards,
Joe

Joe,

Choice is always a good thing. Perhaps if you provide a firmware specific to that need (SP1_loop.bin), and offer it as a requested download (ie, provide the link via email with the explanation of what it contains), then folks like TNRonin can make that determination by themselves. You could even say that the firmware is "unsupported".

Just a thought.

Yep, I have this thing I call personal responsibility. I would like to make the choice/mistake myself. Quite frankly, this sound like a cop out. In light of the recent BS about gun control, it strikes a very unhappy chord with me. Thanks for your time.
