So I am curious as to what undergarments people use in the springs? To get an idea if what I have will be good enough or not. I generally get cold more easily. Diving wet, I always wear at least a 3mm, but I switch to a 5mm around 76-77. Suit I have is Rofos trilaminate with 4th element exotherm garments/base, but is cut to accommodate up to 200g undergarments. Diving dry with just the exotherm down to 74, I was not cold at all. Haven't dove it colder than that yet. But of course, the springs are colder than that. This would just be for typical no deco diving, so no extended cave dive or something like that. Any idea if what I have would be good enough? I know the proper answer it to try it out and see what works, but I kinda want to know that I won't be freezing, before I go there. If that's possible.

I usually wear wicking thermal underwear...essentially just a base layer. In the winter I’ll wear a thicker undergarment, not because the waters cold, but because it gets chilly once you get out.

I wear a flex190 (~200g) and come out toasty, but not uncomfortable on OC.

It’s mainly to help offset the buoyancy of the tanks, not for warmth, although that doesn’t hurt.

Depends on how long you dive, how often you dive per day, how many hot meals before the last dive of the day, Rebreather or OC, and how cold you get.
In my case I always wear a Weezle Extreme + under my drysuit, dive a rebreather and if the dives start getting really long I also have an electrically heated undershirt (turned bach to 30-50WH) that I use under my trilaminate drysuits.
Gotta admit though, after 3000+ cold water dives, I don't have any warmth tolerance and cool out very quickly.

Recreational OC dives, which can't be very long compared to rebreather. Maybe 2 per day :)
