So we're heading to Sri Lanka mid October to surf but being keen divers we're excited to see what Sri Lanka has to offer. We're going to be there for about 5 weeks so have a bit of time to explore. Have had a look online at recommended dive sites but wanted to see what other divers thought rather than dive shops just plugging their own sites. Any recommendations of sites/shops/must see dives/ or just general non-dive related activities??

Thanks in advance

Not necessarily. You'r getting the same information that the OP got. :)

Would also like to know, thinking of heading there in Feb / March. Which side is better, East or South West?

Mee too! I'm leaving this week for there to do some volunteer stuff (not related to diving). And plan to do some diving some time during my stay. I love surfing as much as diving as well.
