    I’m very curious about the cause of this.

    Melbourne has a reasonable community of technical divers and I’ve always seen good adherence to safety on the boats I’ve seen.

    There will be a coronial investigation into it which will be made public, but I doubt it will be completed for several years.

    I wonder if it was a medical issue.

    Although due to the covid lockdown we’ve only recently returned to regular diving, so a mistake due to rusty skills is also possible.

    I have heard very little about this tragic incident, I saw a few photos come through my FB feed from a dive on the wreck from that date, looked like an awesome dive, I have not seen any other mentions of the incident other than the article posted above.
