I start my Cavern/Intro training this Thursday. Will drive down to Cave Country this Wednesday. Needless to say I am as giddy as school girl. (For the record I am NOT a school girl) I will update as it goes along. Hope to be a freshly minted Intro Cave diver come Sunday..

Johnny Richards at Ginnie Springs. Going TDI route..

Was taking it with my dive buddy @Ron Crist but he is a roofer and feel off a roof almost a month back and broke his knee. So he will be there to cheer and support.

Have fun. Play safe. Doing my tec sidemount this summer then going after some level of cave diving. Got the bug for caves last year cavern diving in Tulum.

Just finished Cavern with Johnny last week. Very eye-opening experience. It was my first time at Ginnie (or anywhere in Cave Country) and I learned a lot in a very short time. It's something I always wanted to try and I will definitely be back - after I practice a lot more reel work and helicopter turns.

Dont mean to start an agency vs agency thread but is there a lot of overlap between skills taught in GUE-Fundies / UTD Essentials and Cavern / Intro to Cave? Someone mentioned practicing "helicopter turns" so the question popped in my mind.
