I've just started snorkeling regularly with my wife. We are in South Florida and snorkel where we used to swim, usually the last 2 or 3 hours of daylight. Today we saw two different stingrays. Any special precautions to take around them? (we just swam away from them) Should we be shuffling our feet in the sand on the way in the water? This is a relatively secluded beach area which we walk to in order to get away from the crowd.
Any advice much appreciated.

Just shuffle your feet when entering/exiting and don't dive down and swim close directly over the top of them and you should be fine.
