Green_Manelishi:
How did you attach the bolt snap?
I've posted the same question before re: my UK Cannon. What I did was put a small loop of caveline around the hole in the grip (where the lanyard used to be) and attached a bolt snap to the caveline. Then I just clip it off to my left chest billy ring until I need it.

What do you do if you have to "let go the light" for a second or two?
Can't imagine why I would let go of the light while swimming or descents/ascents. I only let go when I'm on the bottom and am doing some task ie: wrestling a bug, getting an artifact out. Other than that, it's in my hand. If I need to switch hands, I do.

Kraken has an excellent idea though and I think I might give that a try.

What works for me is bolt-snap the light to my front crotch d-ring (no scooter used) ... the light is ever so slightly bouyant, so it floats up out of the slipstream when not in use.

I also prefer the lantern grip... slightly more compact, and I left the lanyard on ... I'd just hate to loose the light accidentally :)
