Aaaah oh ok. I thought the mount was permanent

The prize is what is in the picture in this thread. It's a SUBGEAR XP-H.

As a Canadian, I'm officially not participating in protest of US-only policies.

Mark,

Look closely at the fine print that Howard included:

Here's the fine print:

  • This giveaway is only able to be shipped to US Addresses including Alaska and Hawaii

If you win, have them send to someone in the US and then ship it up. Of course there will be no need for you or others to worry about that. I plan on taking it home....via a US address!

Lol, I know, but....

The shipping & handling, plus custom fees on its declared value, might cost more than buying one locally.

Geeze, $15.00 postage and it's a "gift". Never paid custom/duty on gifts sent to me from the US. Oh well, better odds for the rest of us.

No, it is not similar to the EDI.

It is a Aladin Tec2G with an integrated digital SPG.

It is not Really an Air-Integraded computer.

The SPG does not communicate with the dive computer.

However, it is a nice compact unit at a very good value.

That's what the EDI was, a dive computer, with a built in digital SPG.

"Air integration", in the sense of calculating air time and what not is lost on me, because I dive sidemount so much. But having one computer in the SPG seems (like it did with the EDI) to be a nice thing.

The nicest thing about this particular computer is it's totally free to one lucky winner

And you made it easy to win. It's good advertising for them, because I never knew this computer existed, and I now want them as my SPGs for my rental fleet.

beanojones, you are correct,it is a nice compact unit.

Moreover, it is the XP-10, not the 2G
