ABCÃÔ popular Good Morning America news and cultural affairs TV show, is going to air a story on the wounded warrior scuba program this Saturday morning (21 March).
Well-known ABC news reporter Bob Woodruff recently traveled with a camera crew including noted underwater cameraman Tim Gothran to St John to learn more about SUDS and to dive with the veterans. While he was there, four ÅÔoldiers earned their Open Water certs and one finished up his advanced, and one is working towards his divemaster rating.
Hats off to ABC and Bob Woodruff for his support of US veterans and SUDS.
If you miss the show on Saturday, ABC are going to air it again early next week on ABC World News Tonight.
For those of you who do not know, Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba (SUDS) is a program based out of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) and Bethesda Naval Hospital. It is designed to help improve the lives of injured soldiers returning from Iraq & Afghanistan. Training these soldiers in a challenging and rewarding activity can help facilitate the rehabilitation process and promotes mobility.
