So far we are at 25% of the goal. Thanks to all that have donated!

Thanks to many of you we are almost half way to the goal!
But there is still a long way to go. Please help if you can.

We hit the halfway point but have a long way to go. Please help if you can. And Thank-You to all who have donated so far. You are awesome.

Awesome indeed... my personal thanks to all who have contributed to this fund. I am most grateful.

Still time to donate-

Dr. Bill went in for the first procedure today. Let's send him positive thoughts and prayers. And of course a couple bucks if you can.

After a flurry of activity, we seem to have hit a wall. Here is the most recent update from Dr. Bill. The need is still there. Help if you can.

Update 06/22/2017

It has been determined based on the UCLA bone biopsy and my oncologist's interpretation of the PET scan results that I have multiple myeloma (MM) in addition to the two cancers found in my appendix and colon. MM had been ruled out earlier based on blood tests, but those apparently were not 100% accurate.

I will undergo a third bone biopsy tomorrow at UC Irvine. I'm not sure I understand why since they took a marrow sample from my humerus at UCLA. Based on the results of this biopsy, my new specialist will determine the best possible treatment for the MM. A few years ago MM was a pretty serious form of cancer with 5-year survivorship not good. However, recent breakthroughs in the past few years have made it a pretty treatable condition.

My surgery to re-section the colon, close the fistula in my abdomen and give my abdomen a warm chemo bath is still scheduled next month but on July 10th not the 11th.

This just in from Dr. Bill. He had surgery earlier this week that should have put him on the mend, The fight just got tougher and he can really use our help.

"Finally I'm connected. I am a complicated fellow so the surgery was as well. Dr. Pigazzi had to close not one but three fistulas to seal my belly. Still on IV... can't even have a glass of cold water. Very disturbing news. The cancer in my abdomen that my surgeon said "we got it all." Well, not true... it is back on the colon, on my stomach and on my pelvis. Very concerned and angered by this news. I am at UC Irvine, room 6622-2."

Update: Dr. Bill has begun Chemo treatments. This is a long battle and one he will need help with for some time. After the flurry of activity we seem to have hit a lull. Please help if you can!
