I am looking to get a new reg soon, but am on a budget. I was wondering, can I just take my octo and console off of my reg I have now and put it on the new one? I'm most curious about the console. Also, would it matter if the console is a different brand than the reg?

You should easily be able to switch over your existing octo and console. Brand of the console doesn't matter, the port sizes are standard (unless the console is very old) and pressure is pressure. The octo should also work just fine. There is some potential for the Intermediate Pressure of the new first stage to be different from the existing first stage and some tuning of the octo might be necessary for it to crack where you want it to crack.

Definitely. Your first stage will have two different sized ports, one for high pressure and one for low. If the Octo doesn't screw in properly, it just means you're connecting it to the wrong port.
