That's the puzzling part. I've been carrying the same minimal gear for shallow recreational diving, and I don't have anything TO drop.

Have you considered your hoses are asemetrical? As someone suggested, perhaps the tanks aren't matched, we're only talking - + 1% which seems not outrageous.

Ran rough math 400psi in an hp120 is roughly 1lb buoyancy swing.
