Hey all.... Does anyone have any info on the Tenka Line Of regulators.

I personlly have never heard of it.... I think it may have been a brand name at some point. :) .

I have a freind looking to sell one to me...

Thanks for your help

Mike

Mike,

I think you mean "Tekna" regulators.

The good news - I have used Tekna regulators since 1985 and think they are great.

The bad news - it is almost impossible to get the second stages serviced. The last person that I found to service them was in FL and now I am unable to contact him since the dive shop he worked at was sold.

Er, he won't be your friend for long once you try and get it serviced. Unfortunately there's a few parts no longer available. I was in a dive shop in Oz a few weeks back, and the guy had five used sets sitting in a box that he could no longer get service parts for. Once they need an overhaul, they're just mantelpiece items from now on.

Hopefully one day Global, Trident or some other company will begin manufacture of the bits, but I wouldn't buy the reg hoping it's going to happen. My father-in-law has one he still uses that's eventually going to have to get scrapped.
