For those of us who go between drysuit, wetsuit and bare arms frequently, is there any plans to offer an official bungee mount adapter?

Perhaps with some redundancy in the attachment method? I've witnessed many a diver's pop a single watch band pin and lose a device.

No need. Just remove the band and run the bungee through the screw holes. The only issue is that it might not fit in the charger mount any longer.

They also released an extension strap that can be quickly attached to lengthen the band for drysuits.

If it has pins a NATO band would be an option, I also saw that DGX has a bungee band.

There's a few people around the office here that wear the Teric with a third party NATO straps. When they go diving, they bring in a single Perdix elastic strap. The NATO strap is removed and the elastic Perdix strap is woven in through the pins. The whole process and viceversa takes just a few seconds.

Most of us use the Shearwater silicone strap with its extension. Both are made of shore 70A silicone that has a very nice balance between strength and elasticity. Last night I was filling tanks for the weekend and showcasing my Teric to a friend. He mentioned bungee saying his mind would be more at peace for preventing watchband rips that might end up losing the watch. So I told him let's pull on it to see if we break it. I held one end and he pulled the other. We didn't break and to be fair his intent was not to break the strap but to gauge how much abuse the strap could take. In more concrete numbers the strap when connected to the Teric can lift 51 lbs unbuckled and 70 lbs buckled.

DGX sells both an elastic strap and NATO straps:

While this type of testing is nice to know, it does me no good. I shall give it to Mrs Flush. If it can be broken and lost she will find a way. (don't tell her I said this or I might get broken and lost)

Would this be a similar situation to the "idiot proof" design (not calling your wife an idiot though) where the corrolary is that a new and improved idiot will arise to covercome it?

As soon as someone says it can't happen, someone somewhere will prove otherwise!

BTW I do trust Shearwater and their figures.

Is the DGX elastic strap shown the same as the Petrel 2 OEM strap? My Petrel 2 strap is holding up but the fraying signs are quite pronounced and expanding. Can the Nato strap be used on a Petrel?

It is not completely different from said situation although I am much quieter expressing it to Mrs Flush, for fear of my general well-being. Shearwater management needs to understand that although I am willing to provide this service to them it is gonna have to be on the down low.
