It would be really nice of there was an option to change the display offset to "rotate" the orientation off axis. My arm doesn't go perfectly perpendicular comfortably. So it would be really nice if it could offset to be "level" when held at say a 45° when I'm holding my hands together in front of me.

YES!!!!!!

That said, I doubt it will happen. Non-cardinal (other than 90deg) rotations on rectangular pixel grids degrade the display quality.

I will chime in for compass reference markers at arm-comfortable angles. I used Testors model paint to carefully fill some of the impressed marks in the bezel near the display and tat works OK as long as lighting is decent.
