I added a few more upgrades to my camera rig; a ys-d2 for a second strobe and upgraded my tray and arms to idas and nauticam.

I ordered from Optical Ocean Sales (third order from them) and once again, great service and everything showed up perfect and even a day early!

Now to see what the learning curve is with a second strobe and the new arms; I did some test firing and wow the ys-d2 puts out some light on full dump!

Will probably get a float or two to get it closer to neutral and a good lanyard to clip it to my bc easily.

I like !!!! Have a single strobe tg4 and was wondering what it would take to add a 2nd one. New tray and a strobe. Do you notice any Balance difference and is it hard to get each to fire at once?

The ys-d2 is heavier than the ys-03 but it's hard to really tell it when holding out of water and of course in water it should be imperceptible.

I bought a dual fiber optic adapter that uses double sided adhesive to stick to the pt-056 diffuser in place of the clip with the single fiber optic port. With that setup, they both fire reliably in ttl and I put the ys-d2 in manual and tested at a few power levels.

I'm going to try it out tomorrow on a quick dive and see what I think.

nice setup!!

This is my rig. Can't wait to get it wet.

@CryHavoc I don't see a fiber optic cable to your strobe, did it come with one. Should be a good setup for stills and video.

I did a quick dive today, I left the WAL at home and tried shooting macro with two strobes to try different lighting angles.

I really like how the arms/clamps work compared to the flex arm, uw I just loosened them slightly so it just takes a little effort to move the strobes into position and they'd of course stay put. At the end I tightened them back up so they wouldn't be floppy above water.

YS-D2 seems to work well in TTL with the tg-4, I can't wait to try some wide angle to really see the benefit of the second strobe, but so far pretty happy with it. It's a little bigger but not too crazy, should get accustom to it fairly quickly.

A few keepers from today:

I do have a fiber optic cable. I put the rig together today for the first time see how it fit. I received the Gopro as a gift and just got all the parts to complete the setup
.

I'm curious about your setup Skeptic 14 and was hoping you could share your experience with the YS-D2. On my TG4 rig I recently replaced a single YS-03 with a single YS-D2. Have noticed in pool testing and one trip that the YS-D2 sometime seems to randomly fire after taking a shot in TTL mode. The TG4 internal flash is not firing and it is not recording an image from these "random" flashes. I estimate that they are not full power flashes as I can look at it without being blinded. I cannot find anything in the Sea & Sea manual that explains the behavior and was hoping someone with more experience could shed light on this.
