will the ys-90 strobe, particularly 2 of them, work with the dx-2g?

I am sure that they will, but you must set them manually for a shot (that should not be a problem, I don't the TTL setting on my 110a strobes). That said, I would use the 110a strobes if I had a choice.

I don't think that they would work. How are you going to get to fire flash when you press the camera trigger? These two strobes would fire on the camera's "pre-flash" thinking that it is time to fire the flash. Please let me know how you would do it if you can since I have an older YS30 I'd like to use with this camera and a YS110 strobe. I could never get the YS30 to fire at the appropriate time.

How? Wouldn't they fire during the "pre-Flash"?
