Hi,

I have been diving for a while (since 1994) and also participated in internet discussions since then (starting on USENET with rec.scuba and on many places since.

During the day, I work as a theoretical physicist at university.

IN recent years, family obligations meant a lot less time for diving. So I started "theoretical diving": I contribute to the development of Subsurface the open source dive log and planner (Subsurface | An open source divelog) and more recently, I started a blog to discuss the theoretical sides of diving (staring with a series of posts on the VPM-B model): http://atdotde.de/theoreticaldiver

And now I am here. Hi everybody!

Best
Robert

Welcome to Scubaboard! And very cool how you're participating.

I haven't been able to dive for a bit as I recovered first from dengue picked up on a dive trip to the Philippines & then spine surgery. I'll hopefully diving soon. [knock on wood] SoI too have been participating in a different way...as a "virtual" diver while I recover. :) I started writing for Scuba Diver Life & worked with a couple to get their dive resort off the ground.

Happy (theoretical) diving!
