ugh...
I first noticed it last week. When I take pictures of a plain background I can really notice something that looks like a hair in the image. It is the same size no matter what zoom level I'm at, so it is behind the lens - probably right in front of the imager. I have attached a picture - look in the upper right. I cleaned the lens just to make sure.
The camera is about 7 months old so it is within the 1 year factory warranty. Is this something that is typically covered under the Canon warranty? I'll be calling tomorrow to find out. Has anyone sent a Canon camera in for service before? How long did it take to get returned? I'm leaving on a diving trip in 5 weeks and I know these service departments can take their sweet time about fixing things.
Ugh. Thanks,
Nathan
