Trang area in October

Hi,
could somebody give me some advise where to dive or snorkle during October in the south of Thailand.
Rather the Tarng area instead of Phuket or Krabi.

Try Koh Kradan. The snorkeling is quite nice and right off the beach. The only thing is that October is a bit early, so you may not find resorts ready to welcome guests.

I know it´s a bit early but it is sort of a surprise holiday between two jobs.
Would you recommend a diffrent area which is not too busy and commercialized?
I will arrive in Bangkok on the first of Oct.

Actually, I think you should try Kradan. I just looked and there are lodgings available already in October. The best area for snorkeling is a bit sheltered from the westerly winds anyway, so the sea conditions should still be okay for beach snorkeling.

looking at the weather forecast it is definitely not the best time.
But hey it´s still much warmer than here in Germany.
