I am trying to find out if the older Transpac can be setup for doubles similar to how the Transpac XT is done or if it needs a full backplate?

Any help is appreciated as I am looking to buy a used Transpac and want to know before I pull the trigger.

MY opinion,
I have dived my Transpac with doubles. It's ok on Twin 80 aluminum's, but I wouldn't recommend any thing bigger/heavier.
On twin 98's steels, I preferred a backplate. Much more comfortable & more stable.
The transpac also converts to a sidemount rig which it my current direction.
