Trip Report Part 2 - Living Underwater-Iberrostar
We have been diving with Jeremy for 8 years and consider him to be one of Cozumel’s premier operations. We like to split our visits with Jeremy and now Tres Pelicanos. Jeremy’s boat, “The Jewfish” is beautiful and his camera storage is exceptional. He uses steel 120 and 95 tanks. Bottom times are not limited and we were 80 minutes most of the time and often came up since we were cold. Jeremy is always finding the smallest things. However, this trip he found his “girlfriends” at Dahlilah The curious nurseshark that swam between our legs and and cavorted with us for at least 10 minutes and the 2 huge morays . We saw spotted eagle rays and reef tip sharks at Maracaibo and Punta Sur Cathedral.

Ricardo and Edwin the captain make your diving a pleasure! They are quick to retrieve your gear and offer towels and coats if needed.

We spent the next part of the trip at the Iberrostar since our friends from Canada were coming with wives and family and the wives don’t dive. The hotel is in need of major sprucing up! The rains of September and Oct/Nov. (it rained every day for 3 weeks) have caused lots of mold issues. The food is typical all inclusive and gets old. We ate at the Steak Restaurant as often as possible and it was very good.. the salmon was exceptional. The Mexican was not good at all. WIFI is very expensive (Suites Bahia was free) We much prefer being in town or closer (Fiesta Americana when it reopens)

Thank you for your dive report!

we are gonna be on the island at the same time. Sure miss diving with you and those wild canucks! I too enjoyed Suites Bahia. You would love my new hangout, Villas Mayaluum, I will be there this winter as last. Happy holidays!
