Vis:20-70' Water 76-78f Diving:5 days/3 tanks The dive sites included Argentina,Corrida,Monkey Face,Catalina Island & Rainbow.The week was sunny with flat seas and moderate surface currents.Everyday had Dolphins traveling with the boat and Manta Rays swimming by when anchored.Catalina Island trips were excellent.On the 1st trip we arrived at the island to be greeted by 100's of Devil Rays breaching the surface.Even the crew was excited to see this. The dives included schools of Eagle Rays,White Tip Sharks,groups of King Angelfish & Walls of Jacks.On the way back they stop at Rainbow a undersea mount that breaks the surface by about 2'. Manta Rays is what we came to see.The end of the dive we spent 20 min. with 2 Mantas. It was Amazing! Hanging in 10-15' as they swam about a foot over our heads.It was the highlight of the week.Tortuga has alittle of everything White Tip Sharks,Nudibrachs,Clown Shrimp,Sea Horses & Regal Urchins.Corrida was great for Sea Horses 4 colors (yellow,white,brown & orange).Rich Coast Dive Shop:From the first E-mail owners Brenda & Martin Van Gestel helped us.They sent me the new web site before it was finished to help plan the trip.When we arrived they picked up the gear at the hotel and we never touched it again.All divers are broken up into smaal groups by skill level.We wergivin Jim as our Dive guide for the week.Jim is one of the best Guides our group has ever been with!He rates up with Murph(Buddy Dive) & Dave "Tuna" (Explorer Ventures).Overall a VeryGood dive shop.We stayed at Toro Blanco Resort.2blocks from everything & 1 block from the beach.24 hr. mini mart and 7am breakfast across the street.Town was GREAT with Restaurants,Night Life and Shops all within walking distance.A Awesome trip at an inexpensive price.
